Religious Education

Grade 1 - Grade 4

Star of the Sea Parish offers religious education for grades 1-4 on most Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:45am, during the school year. This day and time allows children and their families to participate in the 9:00am Mass immediately before class. Classes meet in the Father Morgan Hall at Star of the Sea Parish, 18 Beach Road in Salisbury. We use the We Believe (Parish Edition) series published by Sadlier.

Grades 5 and 6

Grades 7 and 8

Star of the Sea Parish offers religious education for grades 7 and 8 on most Sunday evenings, 6:15-7:15pm, during the school year. Classes meet in the Father Morgan Hall at Star of the Sea Parish, 18 Beach Road in Salisbury. We use the We Believe (Parish Edition) series published by Sadlier.

Confirmation I & II

Star of the Sea Parish offers Confirmation classes within our collaborative with Holy Family Parish for grades 9 and 10 on most Sundays, 11:45am-1:00pm during the school year.  This day and time allows the teens to participate in the 10:30 Mass at Holy Family Parish immediately before class. Classes meet in the Holy Family Parish Lower Church in Amesbury. The classes are based on The Catholic Faith Handbook series published by Saint Mary's Press.

Teens must complete 20 hours of community service within the parish before they are confirmed.

All teens in Confirmation II must attend the retreat held in March.

Confirmation is held at Holy Family Parish in the Spring.
